In Defense of Sleepaway Camp: Why Peter Baker Killed

Peter Baker did not kill people because he was being raised as a girl. That is the most ridiculous assumption I have ever heard. Peter Baker killed people because of how they treated him and his cousin Ricky. He killed people because they were unkind. He killed people because this peer torment and abuse by adults coincided with his budding sexuality, which caused his sexual confusion.

Artie was a disgusting pedophile who attempted to sexually assault “Angela”. Then, to add fuel to the fire, Artie bashed Ricky against the cardboard boxes several times. These are two offenses which cost Artie his life. We don’t get the pleasure of watching Artie die on screen. But we must assume that he does die.

Kenny and Mike taunted “Angela” relentlessly in the recreation hall. Then, again, Ricky gets assaulted when he tries to defend “Angela”. Strike two. That was the motive for killing Kenny. It is still a mystery as to why Mike was not killed, which backs up the Mike theory (a seperate page altogether).

Billy was killed for throwing the water balloon at “Angela”. Up until that point, he really didn’t do anything to “Angela” except throw Ricky some attitude during the baseball game.

Meg was killed because she was cruel to “Angela” from the beginning, but the final straw was when Meg threw “Angela” in the water. The bitch had it coming from day one.

Judy was killed for the same reason that Meg was killed, with the final straw being kissing Paul behind “Angela”s back.

Mel was killed because he never once came to “Angela”‘s aide. He also prevented Ricky from helping Angela when Meg was throwing her in the water. Although we can’t be sure “Angela” saw this. Mel was also killed because he beat the shit out of Ricky.

Paul was killed for kissing Judy behind “Angela”‘s back. And for turning out to be a lying, sex hungry, sleaze bag, like all men. However, I think there’s more to Pauls death than meets the eye. I’ll delve into that some other time.

Peter did not kill anyone because he was acting out. His motives for murder had nothing to do with being raised as a girl. If that were the case, he would have killed Aunt Martha and there would have been no Sleepaway Camp :D

  1. hi you have some good points however 2 things: 1. I find it sexist when you think all men are sex hungry sleaze bags, that’s your opinion and you are entitled to one but please be careful because not all men are like that. 2. I believe most of them deserved to die except for billy because all he did was a throw a water balloon at her that’s it and for that she/he kills him with bee stings fair enough artie, meg, judy and mel deserved to die but billy didn’t do much i mean if someone threw a water ballon at you would you kill them? anyway good points and please reply back asap thanks :)

    • Personally, I hate the human race as a whole and think we all deserve to die. So yes, I do think throwing a water balloon at someone warrants a bee hive attack in the latrine. Billy tormented Angela just as much and deserved to die just as much as anyone else. How would you feel if some douche-bag threw a water balloon at you?

And as far as the comment about all men being sex hungry sleaze bags,.. Wait until you reach puberty. Then you will see that I am right in my assumption.

Thank you for commenting and sharing your opinion. It means the world to me. Sorry it took nearly eight months to reply.
