“Did you ever go into a museum and stare at a painting. That’s the best way to leave the film. Let people interpret it as they wish. You can interpret it in many different ways. I’m going to leave that up to interpretation. The better films are richly textured. That’s the goal as a filmmaker or an artist. When you’re creating something, you want to have as much texture as you can. If you can create that kind of discussion about the film, well, then you’re entertaining and you’re accomplishing what you set out to do.”
